From the heart of the Stołowe Mountains flow underground mineral waters that give rise to the Polanica springs, renowned for their medicinal and flavorful qualities. How are they formed? It’s simple – thanks to precipitation that consistently replenishes renewable water deposits. However, rain or snow falling in the Stołowe Mountains is just the beginning of a cycle that can last up to several thousand years! The water slowly seeps deep into the ground until it reaches sedimentary rocks, mainly sandstones and marls. It fills the rock fissures and flows through them, creating underground springs. It either surfaces naturally (known as artesian outflows) or is extracted through specially drilled wells.
MoreIn Polanica-Zdrój, there are as many as seventeen fountains. The most famous is the Colorful Fountain – located along the main park avenue. Its name comes from the fact that it is illuminated with colorful spotlights. Additionally, the fountain "dances" to the music being played, and water jets from over 700 nozzles, reaching up to 12 meters. This show can be admired from May until the end of October. To enhance the lighting effect, the show takes place after dusk. Colorful Fountain Shows Saturdays, Sundays, holidays

MoreThe area of Błędne Skały covers approximately 22 hectares. It encompasses a group of unusual rock formations, ranging from 6 to 11 meters high, created through the weathering of sandstone. Błędne Skały is a maze of cracks and narrow passages, sometimes extremely tight, separating rock blocks several meters high. Many of the rocks have their own names, such as "Skalne Siodło" (Rock Saddle), "Kurza Stopka" (Hen's Foot), "Labirynt" (Labyrinth), "Tunel" (Tunnel), and "Wielka Sala" (Great Hall). Near Błędne Skały is the "Głaz Trzech Krzyży" (Stone of Three Crosses), a former well-guarded customs point between the Kłodzko region and the Kingdom of Bohemia. This stone bears several dates, which, according to legend, were carved to commemorate the capture of smugglers (the oldest being 1616). In the area of Błędne Skały, there is a viewpoint on a platform called "Skalne Czasze" (Rock Basins). On a clear day, you can also see the Karkonosze mountains!

Between 1715 and 1723, another temple was built, which we can admire to this day. The basilica's exterior resembles a palace.
